How do I set up a coupon?

I want to create a coupon.

Welcome to WarriorPlus.

Coupons are used to adjust the price of your offer or product based on a set criteria. WarriorPlus coupons can be redeemed in two ways:

  • Auto-assigned Coupons:

They are assigned during the creation of buy buttons, vendor and affiliate links, or directly to a buyer or affiliate when the coupon is created.

  • Buyer Entered Coupons:

You can enable a coupon field on the checkout page through the “Offer Settings” page. Please note: Coupons must be available for the coupon field to appear on the checkout page.

How do I set up a coupon?

Now that we've covered the basics, let's begin. Log into your WarriorPlus account, and once there, go to the 'Vendor' dropdown and select the 'Coupon' tab.

You will be directed to the Coupons Dashboard.

On the Dashboard, you have the following options:

  • Create new coupons

  • Edit Coupon

  • View Stats

  • Deactivate Coupons

Create new coupons

Select the green button labeled '+ New Coupon,' and you will be directed to the 'New Coupon' page. We will now cover everything you need to know to successfully create one.

Generate Coupon Code

Start by clicking the “Generate Code” button to automatically generate a coupon code, or simply enter a unique code of your choice for you to use. Next, you will need to choose one of three options for the Coupon Type:

  • Discount (Percentage - $)

  • Discount (Dollar Amount - %)

  • New Price (Set a new product price - $)

After selecting the option that best suits your needs, define the Coupon Value:

  • Percentage Amount: For a product priced at $100.00 with a 20% discount, it will be sold for $80.00.

  • Dollar Amount: For a product priced at $100.00 with a $15.00 discount, it will be sold for $85.00.

  • New Price: If selected, this sets the product to be sold at the new price you specify; for example, a product normally priced at $100.00 will now be sold for $20.00 once the coupon is activated.

The following two fields are optional:

Active Date: The date the coupon becomes active.

Expiry Date: can no longer be used.

Next, define the maximum number of uses for the coupon to control how many times it can be used.

With our "Limit To" function, you can create a coupon for every product by leaving the field on auto-select, or you can specify a particular product.

Last, but not least, our “Auto-assign To” function, allows you to select a specific buyer that can use it or a specific affiliate that can promote the coupon.

Now click the 'Save' button and create your coupon.

Edit Coupon

Not satisfied? No worries! If you made a mistake or need to edit the coupon you created, simply select the "Edit Coupon" option and make your desired adjustments.

View Stats

In our "View Stats" section, you can monitor the usage of a coupon, including the number of times it was used, the date of use, the product it was applied to, the buyer who used it, and the coupon's value.

Deactivate Coupons

Finally, if you decide to deactivate the coupon, simply use the icon shown in the image above.

How do coupons apply to 'Trial' payments and regular subscriptions?

For a product that has a trial price, the coupon will only affect the trial price.

  • Example: If the product trial is $10.00 and the recurring payments are $100.00, a $6.00 coupon will reduce the trial price to $4.00, while the recurring payments remain $100.00.

For a product that does not have a trial price, the coupon affects both the initial sale and the recurring payments.

  • Example: If the product is $100 recurring monthly, and the coupon is $60.00, both the initial and recurring payments will be reduced to $40.

Assigning Coupons to Vendor Tracking Links

To assign a coupon to a specific vendor tracking link, click on 'Get Code' in the offer editor for the product you wish to set up the coupon for. Then, click on the 'Tracking Link' tab, and the following modal will appear.

When you set up a tracking link and assign a coupon to it, every time traffic is sent to that link (with the SubID) and the buy button is clicked, the coupon or discount will be applied, unless the coupon has expired or reached its maximum usage limit.

Allowing Buyers to Enter Coupon Codes at Checkout:

WarriorPlus allows Vendors to control whether or not to show the coupon field on the checkout page. To activate this feature, simply follow the instructions below.

Navigate to the 'Vendor' dropdown and select 'Offers'. You will be directed to your 'Offers' page. Select the product you wish to associate with the coupon. On the 'Offer Setup' page, please select the button named 'Settings' and click on the 'Offer Settings' tab.

This will redirect you to your 'Offer Editor' page. Under the 'Checkout' section, you can activate the 'Show Coupon Field', which will now allow customers to enter and use your coupon.

Please Note: If you choose to display a Coupon Field on your checkout page, you do not need to use a special vendor link for the coupon to be applied.

Auto-assigning Coupon in Buy Button Link:

A vendor can also append the 'cp' parameter to a Buy Button link to have it auto-applied when the visitor reaches the checkout page.

Example: warriorplus.com/o2/buy/abc123/def456/ghi789?cp=COUPONCODE
